Set in the hills to the south-east of Cumbernauld, Palacerigg Country Park´s livestock collection is unique in Central Scotland. The 740 acre park includes livestock areas, a visitor centre, children´s adventure play areas, golf course and kilometres of woodland trails.

The Animal Staff holds regular volunteer days, animal care courses and farm walks.The Countryside Ranger Service based in the park specialise in tailoring environmental education in the countryside to meet the demands of the national curriculum, youth groups and adult groups. Forest School and Branching Out activities re also delivered by the Ranger Service.
