Hof Palace’s Meierhof Manor Farm is living history in the truest sense of the word: not only because of the authentic restoration of the historically precious ensemble of farm buildings and stables, but also because of the more than 200 interesting and loving animals that live here.
Rare animals, old breeds

The animals at the Meierhof have their origins on a number of different continents, although most of them are the descendants of old Austrian breeds of domestic animals, some of which are quite rare. The stables and pastures are home, for example, to Noriker and Lipizzaner horses, white donkeys, spectacled, Hungarian and Walachian sheep, four-horned goats and Hungarian longhorn cattle. Among the more exotic inhabitants are woolly alpacas and friendly Bactrian camels. Among the poultry are magnificent white peacocks, proud Sulmtaler chickens, ducks, geese and rare breeds of pigeon.
