The Banat Village Museum is the most representative cultural institution with ethnografic profile in the Banat. Work has started on the present site in 1967 and the Museum opened in 1971. It is located in the northeastern part of the city of Timisoara, in the green lung of the city where there is also the zoo and a swimming pool.

In addition to some two dozen different architectural style buildings of various ethnic groups, is shown in the agricultural farm from Zolt an orchard. At the new "Slovak House" two cottage gardens, vines and ornamental plants can be seen. After the entrance on the left is a row of trees in the making, with fruit trees of the 14 ethnic groups that populate the Banat and populated.

The museum ahows horses, donkeys, goats and chickens. But they belong not to specific breeds.
