Nordfjord Folk Museum is the district museum of Nordfjord, part of the museumsof Sogn og Fjordane. Gloppen is the host and the museum is located in the beautiful recreation area Jølet, near Sandane. The museum has 44 old houses set so far. Many of the houses are furnished as they were when they were used in 1700 - and the 1800s. The museum takes care of old buildings, artefacts and other cultural material from the coastal villages to the innermost farming communities.

There is also an orchard with old apple varieties of the region. Fruit Cultivation in Nordfjord has a long tradition and the most important fruit of the villages lying in Gloppen and Stryn.
