The city
The museum area is made up of "the city" and "country". In the city at the square, is located the Handelsbod house that accommodates Handelsboden and exhibitions. Here are Pagelska courtyard where one can see how a bourgeois family could have it in the mid-1800s and a workshop showing how a blacksmith at Scania Vabis lived around 1915. In the city district you will also find shops and cafes.

The country
In the part called "the country" is the farm Raby estate with only old Swedish native breeds - endangered today - barns and pastures. Next to the farm you will find Båtsmanstorpet with his little plot. A short distance away is Lillgården, an historic playhouse for children. There is also a dance floor, the beautiful pond and windmill - Torekällbergets symbol.

The livestock
Self catering means you produced your food yourself. All of our animals are Swedish native breeds. These breeds are of ancient origin and looks much like the animals did in the past. The breeds you can see with us are all endangered, except the Gotland ponies.
