The Thüringer Zoopark Erfurt lies in the north of the capital city Erfurt. It comprises 63 ha among which are 14 ha protected landscape. Apart from exotic species, the Zoopark shows a variety of domestic breeds. Among them typical Thuringian breeds as well as endangered breeds like Bulgarian goats.

Opening hours :
April till October: 9 - 18 o´clock
November till March: 10-16 o´clock
Last admittance: half an hour before closing time.

Events :
Enjoy five different stages with excellent shows. Drums, rhythm and lights merge to a wonderfull tropical event. Walk through the illuminated zoopark and enjoy special food, music from around the world and fantastic fire works in the night.

Klassiknacht: Classical music combined with the beautiful setting of the zoopark. Enjoy an evening of music, light and romantic feelings.

Restaurant, Description :
"Weinberghaus": Traditional thuringian food served in the restaurant (all year round) and on the terrasse (summer).
"Hakuna matata": Self-service restaurant (during main season)
"Savanna kiosk" and the farmland kiosk offer food and drinks dur

More Infos :
Dogs can enter the park if kept on a short leash. They are not allowed in the houses and banned from walk-through enclosures.
Goats, lamas and fallow deer can be fed with special food offered at the enclosures.
Bennett-Wallabies, Barbary monkeys, goats and fallow deer live in walk-through enclosures.
